U2 posted a video to thank fans for coming to their 40 show Achtung Baby residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, which ended last Saturday.

The clip mixes live footage of "Beautiful Day" along with fans talking about the show and people singing along inside the Sphere. Watch it now on YouTube.

And, in a related note, drummer Bram van den Berg, who filled in for the entire residency for Larry Mullen, who is recovering from back surgery, also posted a note thanking fans for their support.

Calling the gig an "adventure of a lifetime," he says, “There was so much love going around during the shows and I felt incredibly supported by the U2 audience. You’ve all been so good to me.”

He added that BonoThe EdgeAdam Clayton and Mullen trusted him “to represent their incredible legacy night after night.

“They say never meet your heroes. But I’m glad I did. Because they turned out to be the sweetest, genuine and hardest working people I’ve ever met. And I’m beyond humbled that I got to be part of all of your lives for those two hours and 10 minutes. What an honor!!!” (See his complete note below.)

Fans that didn't get to the Sphere over the past seven months will likely get to see the show at home, as the last two weekends of performances were filmed.

Dear U2 fans,

Here I am, sitting at home in the Netherlands again, looking back at an adventure of a lifetime. What the **** did just happen?!

When the news broke last year that I’d be filling in for Larry, my world turned upside down. To keep the right focus, I decided not to go online anymore, as in reading comments, go on socials, watch stuff on YouTube. At least not until the shows are done.

Now, for the first time opening up ‘the internet’, it is leaving me completely speechless… There was so much love going around during the shows and I felt incredibly supported by the U2 audience. Signs like ‘Wham Bam thank you Bram’, people giving me a smile or a thumbs up, handmade shirts with supporting messages, an occasional Dutch flag… You’ve all been so good to me!

And now this thread….wow… I feel so privileged to have been part of this Sphere run, to have been given the trust by Adam, Larry, Edge and Bono to represent their incredible legacy night after night. They say never meet your heroes. But I’m glad I did. Because they turned out to be the sweetest, genuine and hardest working people I’ve ever met. And I’m beyond humbled that I got to be part of all of your lives for those two hours and 10 minutes. What an honor!!!

Thanks for having me!

Bram
